Gangs of L.A.
Locals call it the City of Angels a city of extreme
contrasts with extravagant wealth on one hand
yet a city fraught with gangs and violence on the
other.

Bright Light working with partners to help a city wide
Gang Prevention Programme run by the Los Angeles
police department. It helped youngsters who have
been gang listed or are showing signs that they may
be involved in gang activity.

Through counselling and daily life style teaching
Bright Light saw dramatic change in the youth and
the prospect of so much more if others would be
willing to help in programs such as these.

City of Compton
Bright Light also worked with schools in the City of
Compton a district of L.A. under funded by the
government leaving the children often with no hope
of a future apart from gang life on the streets.

Help
More Immediate help is needed in Los Angeles to
support police programmes like these and stop the
gang crimes that ruin many communities in this multi
cultural City.
